Everything about creating a task, closer to hand

Improved

• Improve a description as you create the task: Iris sits in the New Task dialog now, next to the Create button. Until now it only appeared on a task that already existed, which meant creating the task, opening it and coming back to the description you had just written.
• Undo sits with the button that made the change: On a task, Undo Iris AI moved across to sit beside Iris rather than next to Save. It still puts back exactly what Iris was given, including anything you had typed before asking.
• Create a task straight from any board column: The create action under a column used to appear only while the column was empty. It is there on every column now, at the bottom, with that column’s status already filled in — so adding a task where you are looking no longer means going back to the button in the header.
• Nothing gets saved mid-thought: Create and Save are held while a suggestion is being written, so a task can no longer be saved with half a description in it.

Fixed

• Quotes and links in descriptions are readable again: A quote block in a task description or comment came out almost black against the dark background, and links rendered in a red that appears nowhere else in the app. Both now take their colour from the palette, along with code, tables and rules.
• Forms fill the screen on a phone: Creating a project on a phone gave you a box that would not scroll, with Create out of reach below the fold and no way to close it. Project, cycle and integration forms now take the whole screen there, with the close button pinned where you can always reach it. Nothing changes on a larger screen.
• Desktop beta — copied links work outside the app: Copying a link to a task in the desktop app produced an address that only that app understood, so it opened nothing for whoever it was sent to. Links now carry the real web address. The same applied to a project’s public roadmap link.
